+Maria Teresa Menguiano Romero (p54) agrees that Contreras was part of the March 1810 movement towards Andalusia. She says that Contreras commanded the first division of the Army of the Left. This is completely different from the assumptions I made above, consisting of:
 +
 +^ November 1809 (Nafziger 809KSAA) ^ June 1810 (Nafziger 810FSAP) ^ Origin ^
+| Granaderos Provinciales | Granaderos Provinciales | Presumably militia |
+| Regimiento de Leon | Leon Infantry Regiment | Original Line |
+| 1st Regimiento de Aragon | Aragon Infantry Regiment | Original Light? |
 +| 2nd Regimiento de Aragon |  | |
+| Voluntarios de la Corona | Voluntarios de la Coruna | Original Line |
 +| 1st Regimiento de Barcelona | 1st de Barcelona | Original Light |
+| Regimiento del general | General Infantry Regiment | New Line |
+| 1/ 2/ Regimiento de la Union | Union Infantry Regiment | New Line |
+| Regimiento de Orense | Orense Infantry Regiment | Militia |
+| Regimiento de Batanzos | Betanzos Infantry Regiment | Militia |
+| Compania de Guardias Nacionales |   | New Light |
 +
+That's potentially 11 batallions, against 6 that I had in the original order of battle for Contreras when I misread which his division was. I originally had that divided into two brigades of 3 battalions each. If I use the June order of battle that gives nine regiments, which I could assume is a single battalion each, giving two brigades one of 4 battalions and the other of five. I could also treat the original light infantry regiments as providing the skirmishing capacity for each brigade rather than as separate units in their own right. That would give 2 brigades of 3 and 4 battalions respectively, not that far off what I had originally set out.
