Shark Attack
Inspired by films like Jaws. The house becomes a beach resort, each day they need to find something in a different part of the coastline that provides evidence of an active shark (a chomped boat, a shark tooth, what else?). Eventually they have to find and capture the shark. Maybe add a shark board game? How can I make finding the shark exciting?
Needs to not be about sharks from the start, they have to figure out that this is what's going on. Start in Maine. Make it sound like it's a cabin master type thing. A beach hut to be found first, then a chomped boat washes up on the beach. Then a body.
Start doing some kind of makeover thing. How does that work?
Last day there is a big inflatable shark in the room. They have to find the kit to bring it down. Water pistols? Dart guns?
Day one is the stuff to make it a beach house - make out like it's a renovation show. Find the stuff, doll it up like a beach hut. How do you make something like a beach hut? Maine flag.
Letters come each day from the local sheriff's department, getting increasingly manic.
Shark cage?
Net and capture the shark to take it out to deeper water and release?
A group of teens has gone missing, they need to figure out what's happening. They get letters from the Sheriff every day. Could sketch out a map, have to find the thing in each location. First establish that they went out in a boat, then that the boat went down, then they find body parts, then they have to decide what to do - go out in a boat and fight the shark, leave it be, capture and release somewhere else.
Day one: Welcome to the cabin, here's a map, letter from the Sheriff, sorry folks can you keep an eye out for the last residents they've gone missing. Picture of the cabin, kit to make. Make it feel like a cabin show.
Day two: Some letter saying look at the beach - this is the letter from the kids - makes them look at the beach find some boat bits. Maybe an oar? Or a lifejacket?
Day three: Another boat bit, with shark tooth?
Day four: Body part? with shark tooth?
Day five: Have you figured it out? Shark appears, how to take it down? Give them some options to take the shark down? Pin something on the shark? Shark poster, pin the harpoon on the shark.
What kit do I need? Inflatable shark. Jaws game. Shark tooth. Fake body part. Something that says boat. Maybe a model cabin. Some Maine stuff. Can make it cabin decoration too - model cabins plus paint.
OK the final plan.
Day one: Letter from the producers, toy cabins, sounds like a renovation show. Very brief mention of the kids.
Day two: Letter from the producers, have they found anything in the house that shows where the kids are? Backpack (tote bag?) phone, itinerary with the leaving day highlighted. Print from Google Maps showing the place. A note saying 'going home tomorrow'. what else? Polaroid of them swimming.
Day three: Letter from the sheriff, check the boathouse. Rope, oar, no boat. Body part (could separate to make a fifth day?).
Day four: IT'S A SHARK. Card, poster, pin the harpoon on the shark.
