Rise of the Dragons
Introduction
Centuries ago, dragons dominated the Wyrm Lands, but that has now passed out of memory. The dragons have disappeared leaving little behind to show they once lived here. Humans have moved into the land and their small villages and towns are spread thinly around, tiny farming communities in the larger wilderness. A number of small lordships lead the people, ruling from ancient castles built in the unremembered past.
Only the Burnt Lands remember the dragons. In the shadow of the northern mountains the land there is still withered as if by fire. No humans live here, and forgotten ruins are the only things that disturb the wasteland.
